I'm both a practicing and a developing Journalist, as I'm currently in my junior year of a Journalism BA degree. I also hold a position as a web writer for Westchester Magazine, while concurrently working as a Reviews Editor for an on-campus publication called The Purchase Beat. Prior to these two positions, I have worked as a research-assistant for a literary project about the development of international digital libraries conducted by a Swedish company called TredjeMannen AB. My name is Chris Sommerfeldt and I'm a 22-year-old Journalism student with a vast interest for writing. On my spare time I enjoy reading and spending time with my girlfriend who currently lives in Commack, Long Island. Beyond being a writer, I'm also a practicing musician and I currently sing and play guitar together with a group of fellow students from Purchase College (SUNY).
