I've taught students for over a decade in both public and charter schools, including tutoring centers. I believe in checking to see where the student is having issues and what would be considered the root problem. From there I help them see it is possible to learn anything they put their minds to. Solve problems and feeling empowered enough to teach is important for anyone trying to break out of the rut. I also help them set goals and build a relationship where they feel comfortable trusting and working with me. I graduated from Harvard University with a bachelor's in Sociology. I also graduated from Pace University with an MS Ed. In Elementary Education.
