I attended both the University of Maine and Mercy College. Now, I live in Purchase, New York and I have been working as a teacher for the New York City public school district for about eight years. Before I taught full-time, I acted as a substitute, just to get a feel for the profession. Needless to say, it was a correct fit for me. I enjoy teaching astronomy, earth science, physical science, life science, and test prep skills.Most of my work has been done in the Bronx, so I have dealt with an extremely varying melting pot of students which have required me to utilize a multitude of different approaches. It doesn't matter to me whether I am instructing a classroom full of pupils, or conducting one-on-one sessions. I like interacting with young people and helping them to find success. Outside of school, I enjoy baseball and football. I also like to build models as a hobby.
