I am an experienced tutor who has custom tailored instruction in Writing, History, Government, English Language Arts, and Literature for a wide variety of students: 5th grade-college freshmen, special ed through AP, even auditory, visual, physical, and EF-challenged learners. My students usually raise their grades, even from an F, to an A and their test scores to the top 5%. September 2016 will be my 8th year tutoring both struggling students and those who want a competitive edge. Before becoming a teacher, I worked in U.S. Congress leadership offices and for a special federal office, at Cambridge University Press, at Georgetown, at a national public policy organization, and at the College of William & Mary. Since becoming a teacher, I have taught at Johns Hopkins' CTY, part-time at a private school and a few highly regarded public schools on Long Island, and now full-time at a private school for twice-exceptional students. I love helping young people to figure out how they learn, what they find most intriguing, and how to become successful!
